Riverview is beautifully situated overlooking the River Coquet and yet is just a short walk to all the amenities (restaurants, pubs and shops) that the village of Warkworth has to offer. Just a few yards from the cottage is the start of a superb riverside walk to the historic Castle and Hermitage beyond.
Flooring
The cottage is carpeted throughout except for the following rooms –
Kitchen – slate tile floor – easy to keep clean and very hard wearing
Conservatory – Coir style matting
Bathroom – Stone tiled floor with a pebble effect – very hard wearing and practical (but cold on the feet at night!)
External
The property is fully enclosed with a driveway, areas of chippings and a small flower bed to the front. At the rear is a single garage, which houses the tumble dryer. There is a small gate to the side of the garage through which the small 4.4 x 4.5m private courtyard patio can be accessed. Here there is an extending washing line, and in the warmer seasons a wrought iron small round table and two patio chairs.
The residents of the property to the rear of Riverview are allowed access to the riverbank via the main driveway, and although vehicular access is rarely used, we do ask guests not to park permanently on the driveway and it should only be used for loading/unloading, etc. However, parking is available to the rear of the cottage immediately in front of the garage or there are 6 free ‘non reserved’ parking spaces adjacent to the cottage in a ‘Residents Only’ car park.
The cottage is lit externally at night by 3 dusk-to-dawn lights which come on automatically. The external car park area is also lit by a nearby street lamp.
